Connecting to Say ‘Thank You’
We at Manthan Systems acknowledge the contributions of our community and are committed to creating goodwill among all our stakeholders. We envision a society where there is harmony between economic and social goals. We believe that public-private partnership is one way of achieving this synergy.
Collaborating with the community we live in, we aim to drive growth that not only brings business returns, but also empowers social values. Personal growth, governance, society, environment and sustainability are some of the key focus areas of Manthan’s Community Care programs.
In today’s rapidly developing world, the challenges associated with growth are multiplying. Instead of complaining, we at Manthan Systems are driving the solution. By way of our thinking and through various community initiatives, we wish to make a difference to those who make our living easier in ways that we take for granted.
In line with our community care vision, we recently conducted ‘Police Connect’ in Bangalore, India.
Police Connect
Bangalore is one of India’s fastest growing cities. Progress has brought with it new challenges, a new quest for solutions. With millions of vehicles on the roads during peak hours, traffic congestions have become a daily hurdle for most of the commuting public.
More than four million vehicles and ten million people jostle with each other on the city streets. It is the traffic constables who manage the frenzied traffic in an attempt to make our daily travel organized and easier.
Most often, these traffic policemen lack basic amenities to carry out their jobs, particularly during the monsoons. We at Manthan decided to acknowledge their services by presenting them our ‘Manthan Kit’ consisting of a weather-proof jacket, a rechargeable torch and an umbrella. The kit has provided them the basic comfort and made their jobs easier. About 300 traffic policemen from the three police stations in East Traffic Division received these kits in the first phase of our ‘Police Connect’ program. We are planning to reach our ‘Manthan kit’ to every traffic policeman in the city soon.
Manthan Systems Chief Executive Officer Atul Jalan, City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari and Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic and Security) Praveen Sood were present at the get-together. “It is nice to see corporate sector coming forward and lending a helping hand,” commented the city police commissioner.
‘Police Connect’ also aims at inspiring the corporate industry at large to initiate similar support under public-private partnership programmes.
